Hey there! Thanks for stopping by Step Back Farm. My name is Sarah Miller, and I am sixteen years old. I have been homeschooled all the way, and love it. I run the blog and am in charge of the photography (and most of the gardening) on the farm.
We raise Silver Fox rabbits, chickens, and have a pretty nice garden, though I’m already planning improvements for next year.
In our garden we grow bush baby lima beans, cantaloupe, watermelon, cucumber, garlic, kale, swiss chard, lettuce, potatoes, squash/zucchinis, and assorted peppers.
This is my first year growing herbs, as I am extremely interested in homegrown medicinal herbs. So, in my herb bed I have California poppies, calendula, basil, hopefully hyssop, garlic chives, and chamomile. I also have potted comfrey which is doing pretty well. In other pots I have lemongrass, chamomile, rosemary, parsley, peppermint, and spearmint.
I will be posting updates, pictures, tips, tricks and tutorials semi-regularly. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or comment on a post. Also any advice from you dear readers is more than welcome!
Really though. Sometimes I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing.
Thanks for reading, and happy farming!
